Below is my submission to 3 Line Tales: Week 5
For full details on the prompt and submission rules, see Only 100 Words.
“Tell me what you see,” she says, and I know I am being tested.
“Wasted time,” I say.
She turns from me then, her chestnut hair wafting a hint of cinnamon in my direction, and she whispers,”You certainly were…” as she walks out of my life forever.
Anyone who does’t appreciate books deserves to be dumped unceremoniously. Just my humble opinion…
Thank you for another great prompt Sonya!
She burned you, as you failed the test! Lovely as always!!

Great lines. Guess he wasn’t right for her, he didn’t see anything in the books worth while.

I’ve been in a similar situation. If you can’t appreciate something I love, or at least grant the value of it, it deprives the relationship of something passionate to converse about. I’m glad you liked it!

He failed that test with flying colours, didn’t he? I’d have reacted the same way… Great lines!
